HYDERABAD: Nationalist leader Ayaz Latif Palijo termed the latest demand of Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain for more provinces in the country as an attempt to incite ethnic friction. He said on Saturday that the people of Sindh cannot tolerate the division of Sindh along ethnic lines. According to Pakistan Peoples Party’s youth wing leader, Senator Aajiz Dhamra, Hussain was not serious when he made this demand. “But if he was really serious, then he will face massive resistance in Sindh,” he said. “Talking about dividing Sindh is tantamount to hurling an abuse on the people of Sindh.” Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party chairperson Qadir Magsi said that the MQM has always tried to break Sindh on the basis of ethnicity. “But their conspiracies didn’t succeed in the past and won’t in the future.”
