Three people contested the secretary general post
ABBOTABAD/PESHAWAR:
Advocate Fida Gul was elected as the president of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) in the city, while Taif Khan was elected secretary general for 2015-2016 in the association’s annual elections held on Saturday. Vying for the president’s seat, Gul obtained 370 votes while his opponent Naveed Akhtar secured 157. Three people contested the secretary general post of whom Khan was declared the winner with 210 votes. Meanwhile, Javed Khan Tanoli was elected president of PHCBA Abbottabad bench after he bagged 288 votes in the elections. Waqar Ahmed Khan received 367 votes and was elected general secretary, while Sajida Masood won the vice president seat with 373 votes.
