Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has allegedly threatened the administration of a school in Charsadda to close down by April 29, otherwise they will attack the facility, insiders told The Express Tribune.
Government Primary School Ajab Gul Kalay received two threatening letters, seemingly from the banned militant outfit. According to a complaint filed by the school’s principal Amir Nawaz with Mandani police, the letters were received on Saturday morning. “One of the letters asked us to close the school down by April 25 while the other said we should close it by April 29,” Nawaz said.
“Both letters said militants would blow up the school if it was not closed down by the deadline.” The letters generated a wave of panic among teachers and students. Subsequently, parents urged the relevant authorities to introduce a series of measures to protect their children.
