Health Department: DG’s reply sought over withheld salary
He said the DG had also stopped the petitioner’s salary without issuing him a show cause notice
LAHORE:
Justice Qasim Khan of Lahore High Court (LHC) sought a reply on Friday from the Health Services director general on a petition moved by a driver against the DG’s decision to withhold his salary. Ashraf, counsel for the driver, told the court his client had received treatment for a cardiac disease at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. He said the DG had refused to accept the medical certificate that the petitioner had submitted for availing the leave. He said the DG had also stopped the petitioner’s salary without issuing him a show cause notice. He requested the court to order the officer to release his client’s salary. Justice Khan expressed dismay over the DG’s decision.
