He was speaking at a roundtable conference on challenges and opportunities in education. Raja said the government had complete faith in bringing about progress through education. He said no stone was being left unturned on this account. Raja said the darkness of ignorance and fetters of poverty would be broken forever when every child in the province was put in school.
Raja said that an ideal education system should promote creativity and instill a forward-looking approach in youngsters.
He said this would enable them to overcome problems and become an effective component of the society.
Raja said the government had prioritised the promotion of education in accordance with models of national progress and prosperity that had been successful the world over. He said the private sector should come forward and lend a hand on this account to rewrite the destiny of the nation.
The chairman said the foundation had been working with the private sector for the promotion of education at the grassroots.
He said the PEF had been training teachers for free to hone their skills. Raja said this had been done to ensure the provision of quality education to students. He said the foundation had introduced child-friendly schooling. Raja said this had increased students’ motivation.
