KARACHI: As many as 142,931 registered voters in Defence and Clifton will cast their votes to elect general councillors for the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC).

The board has prepared a contingency plan to make sure everything runs smoothly. There are a total of 57 polling stations across the constituency out of which 17 have been declared ‘most sensitive’ while 12 have been declared ‘sensitive’. Most of these sensitive polling stations are established in slums of Dehli Colony, Chandio village and Hazara Colony.

The sensitive stations will be monitored through security cameras at a master control room established by the CBC. In case of any medical emergency or a fire, the CBC dispensary will provide first aid and ambulance services, while fire trucks will also be deployed at all stations.
