Hamza faces mixed fortunes on day two

Pakistan cueist Hamza Akbar had a mixed outing on day two of the 31st ACBS Asian Snooker Championship as he both won and lost a match in his Group B encounters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In the first match, Hamza was beaten by Iran’s Abdolafshen Mohammadi 4-1. However, he redeemed himself in his second match of the day, winning 4-1 against UAE’s Mohammad alShamsi.
Meanwhile, former IBSF world champion Muhammad Asif lost a see-saw battle against Bahrain’s Janahi Ahmed by 4-3.
Asif was put under pressure early on but managed to go 2-0 up. Janahi ensured that he remained within touching distance and drew 2-2.
The 31-year-old Asif once again went ahead (3-2) but Janahi took the match into the decider and won the seventh frame to come out on top.
