Two death row convicts hanged in jails across Punjab

Ever since death penalty was reinforced in December last year, nearly 100 convicts have been hanged across Pakistan

SARGODHA: Two people were hanged in different jails in Punjab on Thursday, Express News reported.

Hanif was hanged in Sahiwal's Central Jail as he was responsible for killing an assistant superintendent following a clash with the police in 2006.

On the other hand, Gul Muhammad, a culprit accused of murder in 1998 was hanged in District Jail Sargodha.

Earlier on Wednesday, four murder convicts were executed in prisons across Punjab.

Similarly on Tuesday, fifteen convicted murderers were hanged in Lahore.

Ever since the death penalty was reinforced in December last year, 80 culprits have been hanged across Pakistan.
