PABBI: The employees of Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) protested in Nowshera against the privatisation of the company on Wednesday. “We will never hesitate to render any sacrifice for our rights,” said Hydro Electric Labour Union Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Deputy Chairman Ali Said after the central leadership called them to protest. He maintained the government should take back its decision of privatising Wapda otherwise employees will continue to hold demonstrations across the region. He said they have been asked by the union leadership to protest every Wednesday. Said said Wapda employees in Nowshera have taken to the streets for their rights just like others protesting in different parts of the country. Other leaders of the union were also present on the occasion. They said they will not let the privatisation of Wapda happen. The protests have been taking place for a long time in different parts of K-P.
