SC to hear constitutional petititions

ISLAMABAD:
A five members larger bench has been formed in Supreme Court (SC) for the hearing of the constitutional petitions filed against the 18th amendment.

The hearing will be held on April 28.


Three petitions have been filed in SC against the amendment. Justice Nasir-ul-Malik will chair the judicial bench. The other judges include Justice Raja Fayyaz, Jawad S Khawja, Rahmat Hussain Jaffery and Tariq Perviz.

Rawalpindi district bar, Supreme Court bar association and a citizen Muhammad Nadeem has challenged the eighteenth amendment in Supreme Court requesting the court to order removal of section 175/A of the constitution.
