Crime: Trader shot for resisting robbery
Police said Muhammad Islam was on his way home from Multan
MULTAN:
A trader was shot for resisting a robbery at Chah Ghulam-i-Wala near Qasba Ayazabad Marral, 35 kilometres away from Multan on Tuesday. He later died at the hospital. Police said Muhammad Islam was on his way home from Multan when he was stopped by two armed men on motorcycles. The robbers held him at gun point and took away Rs1.4 million from him. When he tried to fight back, they shot and injured him. The robbers managed to flee. Islam was taken to the rural health centre in Qasba Ayazabad Marral where he succumbed to injuries. Basti Malook police registered a case against unidentified suspects.
