Spurious medicines: Salesman gets five years in jail
Fined Rs50,000 for supplying spurious medicines
BAHAWALPUR:
The Bahawalpur drug court sentenced a man to five years imprisonment and fined him Rs50,000 for supplying spurious medicines to several medical stores. The proprietor of Ahmad Medicos, Khanpur, had filed a complaint with a drug inspector against Muhammad Ameen who, he alleged, had sold him spurious medicines. The drug inspector arrested Ameen and seized samples of medicines from him. The medicines were sent to a lab for examination and the lab report declared them to be fake.
