After directives from Swabi District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Khan, a special team issued no-objection certificates to 4,540 candidates who are contesting for various seats in the local government elections in the district. The DPO formed two teams to scrutinise the details of candidates intending to contest polls. The government has already barred the involvement of those with criminal records in the elections. The DPO was satisfied with the performances of both teams and assured staffers and officers of cash prizes and promotions.
