Behind bars: Nigerian arrested with heroin from airport

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested a Nigerian national in possession of heroin from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA).


The suspect, identified as UcheLilian Ezegioha, was arrested with 600 grammes of heroin concealed in his luggage. She was booked for Doha on a Qatar Airways flight.



A case has been registered against the suspect.


In another incident, the ANF arrested three persons after nine kilogrammes of hashish were recovered from their car in Gilgit.


The ANF team intercepted a car near Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground and recovered nine kilogrammes of hashish during the search.


Three occupants, identified as Shakir Wali, Javed Khan and Muhammad Ghani, were arrested. All three are residents of Diamer.


Initial investigation found that the suspects were involved in narcotics smuggling at the local level. Cases have been registered against the suspects.
