ATC sentences five MQM workers to 25 years in prison
Convicts were charged in 2010 for damaging public property, assaulting policemen and attempting to murder
KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court in Karachi sentenced five Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers to 25 years in prison on Tuesday.
Judge Anand Ram D Sairani of ATC IV while hearing the case gave the convicts collective 25 years each in the cases.
The convicts have been identified as Muhammad Irfan, Shahabuddhin, Shehzad, Farhan alias DSP and Faisal Naseer.
The jail trial of the convicts was ongoing as they were sentenced in 2010 along with 31 absconders on charges for damaging public property, assaulting policemen and attempting to murder.
Their case was filed within limits of Shah Faisal Colony.
