IHF Continental Asian Trophy: Handball team to leave on April 28
13-strong national squad to compete in Thailand

Pakistan’s 13-member handball team will leave for Bangkok, Thailand on April 28 to participate in the International Handball Federation (IHF) Continental Asian Trophy, which will be held from April 29 to May 2.
One men’s and one women’s team from each zone will participate in the tournament, with Pakistan’s men’s team qualifying for the event when they won the IHF South and Central Asian Trophy held in December in Faisalabad.
Men’s teams from Uzbekistan, Hong Kong and hosts Thailand won in their respective zones, while Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Chines Taipei and hosts Thailand have qualified for the women’s event.
The 13-member national team comprises Mehran Ali, Imran Khan, Ali Raza, Ali Hassan, Shahid Ali, Farrukh Jabbar, Shahnawaz, Atiqur Rehman, Shehzad Tariq, Ikram Aslam, Zeeshan Farooq, Muhammad Bilal Ajmal and Muhammad Shahid Bashir.
