Water sport: LGS wins swimming competition

LAHORE:
Lahore Grammar School (LGS), 55 Main Gulberg, won an inter-school swimming competition organised by the Punjab Women Swimming Association on Sunday. Swimmers aged between seven and 16 years participated in the event at the Wapda Sports Complex. LGS, Defence, stood second and Beaconhouse TNS third. There were exciting races in many categories. Best swimmers in each category were Ameena Ameer (under-10) from LGS, 55 Main Gulberg, Maya Chaudhry (under-12) from International School of Choueifat, Bisma Khan (under-14) from Lahore Learning Campus and Gulminay Lone (under-16) from LGS, 55 Main Gulberg. According to the organisers, participation was at a record high this year with 76 young swimmers taking part.
