Joint operation: Kidnapping victim recovered
The kidnappers had demanded Rs10 million
KARACHI:
The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), in collaboration with the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), has recovered a trader from the captivity of kidnappers during a joint raid in Balochistan on Sunday.
CPLC officials said that a trader, Raheem Gul, was kidnapped on March 27 from Baldia Town while he was returning home from his shop.
They added that the kidnappers had demanded a Rs10 million ransom from his family and warned of dire consequences if the ransom was not paid.
CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy said that the family approached the CPLC regarding Gul's recovery, adding that the CPLC, in collaboration with the AVCC, conducted raids in different localities in Balochistan, arresting 10 kidnappers and recovering a kidnapping victim safely without paying a single penny.
