Managers from 27 businesses were on Friday briefed on water conservation strategies at a training workshop at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).


The workshop titled Best Water Management Projects (BWMPs) was arranged by the World Wide Fund for Nature Pakistan (WWF) under their project on promotion of sustainable water use at Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Kashif Naqvi, a project team member, briefed the participants on various ways by which water could be conserved in small and medium industrial. He said model conservation projects introduced in some industries had yielded positive results.

SCCI vice president Malik Naseer stressed that there should be no need to encourage enterprises to conserve water at their premises on grounds that it would improve their profitability.
