Zain murder case: ATC grants Mustafa Kanju, accomplices 15-day judicial remand
Police authorities say they have completed investigation, no need for accused to be sent on physical remand
LAHORE:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore granted on Friday 15-day judicial remand of Mustafa Kanju and four other accused in Zain murder case, Express News reported.
On April 1, former state minister for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju’s son Mustafa opened fire on a vehicle near Lahore’s Cavalry Ground area, killing 16-year-old Zain and leaving a pedestrian injured.

During Friday's hearing, police authorities said they have completed the investigation, adding there is no need for the accused to be sent on physical remand again.
Earlier, the court had granted police eight-day physical remand of Mustafa and his accomplies who were also arrested by Lahore police following the firing incident.

After initial denials, the accused had admitted to ’accidentally’ killing Zain.
