Call to remove encroachments
Teams of the enforcement directorate demolished 15 illegal structures near Zero Point
ISLAMABAD:
Residents of different sectors in the federal capital have demanded of the civic agency to take action against increasing encroachments in residential areas.
They said that the on-going anti-encroachment drive by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have remained a futile exercise, as according to them, encroachments pop up again once the enforcement teams demolish illegal structures.
Muhammad Aamir, a local resident, said that the encroachers rebuild the razed structures once the CDA team demolished them. A CDA official said that the authority has started indiscriminate action against violators of CDA building by-laws.
He said during the ongoing drive, teams of the enforcement directorate demolished 15 illegal structures near Zero Point on Thursday.
