.
QUETTA:
Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said on Tuesday that increasing number of hepatitis complaints were emanating from across the province and the provincial government needs the support of international organisations to control this fatal disease in Balochistan. “Provincial coalition government is striving hard to bring a tangible change in the health sector,” he said. Dr Malik was speaking to a delegation of Mercy Corps led by its Executive Director European Headquarter Simon O’Connell which called on him in Quetta. The delegation informed the chief minister about projects being carried out under supervision of Mercy Corps in the health sector of the impoverished province. Chief Minister Malik told the delegation that government was making earnest efforts to improve living standards of the masses by developing health, education, agriculture and fishery sectors. However, he said the province had a number of issues to be addressed particularly in health sector.
