According to a press release, the special meeting of Director Generals (DGs) and Deputy Prosecutor Generals (DPGs) of NAB was held under chairmanship of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to review performance of all Regional Bureaus of NAB with special reference to matters related to setting up an effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) System.
The operational methodology of NAB was also discussed in detail. During the meeting, DG Operations NAB Headquarters gave presentations about the functioning of NAB and its operational methodology in order to conduct complaints’ verification, inquiries and investigations under National Accountability Ordinance 1999.
The NAB prosecutor general revealed the observations passed by Supreme Court about lack of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework within NAB and inability to ensure quantitative and qualitative data analysis and the need to implement SOPs already in place.
Senior Member Chairman’s Inspection and Monitoring Team, (CI&T) gave presentations on present Monitoring and Evaluation System in NAB whereas DG Headquarter NAB gave a presentation on the proposed Accountability Monitoring System (AMS) for effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) System in NAB incorporating warnings and alarms system for violators.
