Wife of 'facilitator' in Imran Farooq murder files petition in SHC
Says Rangers personnel raided her house located in Azizabad in the early hours of April 12
The wife of the alleged facilitator in the murder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq on Monday filed a petition in Sindh High Court against her husband’s detention, hours after Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar claimed the accomplice was arrested in Karachi.
Sadia Bano said Rangers personnel raided her house located in Block 8 of the Federal B Area, near Azizabad in the early hours of April 12.

In her petition, she has alleged that despite approaching the Azizabad police station to seek information regarding the whereabouts of her husband, the SHO refused to oblige. Even Rangers officials did not cooperate, she claimed.
Bano argues that the failure of law enforcers to divulge information of her husband’s whereabouts is a violation of Article 18 of the Constitution.
