Burglary: Petitioner directed towards lower court
He said one of the suspects had been arrested

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ordered Ayma Arif, daughter in-law of the late singer Mehdi Hassan, to move a subordinate court to record her complaints, if any, against police. Arif had filed the petition submitting that on March 20 some burglars had taken away gold jewellery and cash and shields and appreciation letters awarded to Hassan. She had said police were reluctant to act against the suspects nominated in the FIR. On Monday, an additional advocate general said that instead of moving the LHC she should have approached a lower court. He said she had lodged an FIR against her landlords. He said one of the suspects had been arrested. The court then disposed of the petition asking Arif to move a lower court if she had any complaint against police.
