Altaf’s call: Ulema urged to unite against terrorism
Hussain says religious scholars uniting against terrorism is the only way to foil designs of terrorists.
KARACHI:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has urged religious scholars to unite against terrorism as it was the only way to foil the designs of terrorists.
Addressing a gathering of Ulema and Mashaikh ahead of the month of Muharramul-Haram near the MQM headquarters, he said Pakistan might have to face more crises and unity among Muslims could suffer in case followers of different sects started fighting each other.
He said that his party would present its point of view on any amendments to the blasphemy laws after consulting religious leaders from all sects.
