RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed at least 10 terrorists in Shunkrai area of Mohmand Agency Saturday night, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (SIPR) press release issued on Sunday.

The terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with troops when they tried entering Pakistan’s territory at about 01:30am.

The bodies of the deceased militants are in custody of the security forces.

Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched against Taliban militants in June last year after a government-sponsored peace initiative crumbled following a deadly attack on the Karachi airport.

Until now, more than 1,000 militants have been killed in the offensive, which will continue till the last militant is killed.
