An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday remanded into police custody a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Hafiz Sanaullah alias Qari Zarar for seven days. Sanaullah was arrested a day earlier.



Hafiz Sanaullah is accused of kidnapping and killing a number of people, including Colonel Sultan Amir Tarrar alias Colonel Imam, a retired officer of the Inter-Services Intelligence, and retired squadron leader Khalid Khawaja.


The CIA police presented the accused before the ATC judge, Rai Ayub Khan Marth.


As per police, Hafiz Sanaullah confessed that in 2010, he, with the help of TTP Punjabi wing, kidnapped Colonel Imam, Khalid Khawaja, a British journalist Asad Qureshi and his employee.


He and his accomplices killed both Col Imam and Khalid Khawaja.
