BAHAWALPUR:
A factory was sealed and a large quantity of spurious medicines was seized in a raid in Rao Colony in Ahmadpur east on Friday.

Deputy Drug Controller Faisal Hussain led the raid on a tip-off. He said medicines worth millions were seized in the raid. He said the factory supplied to pharmacies across south Punjab. He said cases had been registered against Mehmood Alam and Muhammad Atif.

He urged citizens to come forward with information on spurious medicines. “There can be no leniency on the matter,” he said. “Those endangering lives of millions of people would be taken to task according to law.”
