
Three teams of Customs Department on Thursday raided at three warehouses in the city and recovered non-custom paid goods worth millions of rupees, including 1,400 barrels of jujuba oil and petroleum.
Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Waraich told newsmen that two teams led by Additional Collector Nisar Ahmad and Assistant Collector Faizan Badar raided three warehouses.
He said the first team had recovered 400 barrels of jujuba oil from a warehouse in Industrial Estate Area.
He said another team had raided a warehouse in Pir Colony near Chowk Shah Abbas and recovered 300 barrels.
He said another team had seized 700 barrels of petroleum, 33 tonnes of Iranian milk powder and 12.5 tonnes Indian glucose.
He said the warehouses were being guarded by private security guards. He said no one had come forward to claim the goods.
