Action: CDA razes 23 illegally built houses

ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday demolished 23 illegally built structures in Sector G-7/1. CDA Directorate of Enforcement and Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and Islamabad Police jointly carried out an operation against the illegal units in G-7/1 and demolished 23 houses, four boundary walls and three fences. CDA Deputy Director Enforcement Iqbal Tanoli said that the authority had served notices to the violators of by-laws six month ago, followed by several reminders. He said that the civic agency also held another operation against encroachments in F-7 Markaz and confiscated illegally set up stalls, furniture and other items.
