Restaurant owner in China fights off would-be rapist using martial arts
The assailant was arrested with the help of CCTV and is set to stand trial for attempted rape
SHANDONG:
A restaurant owner in China fought off her would-be attacker using martial art skills when he tried to rape her.
The restaurant owner, whose identity has not been disclosed, was closing her shop in the eastern province of Shandong when a man asked to enter her eatery to use the bathroom.
As soon as he was let in, he tried to grab her but received the shock of his own when she used her self-defence skills to overpower him.
CCTV images from inside the restaurant showed how the woman, who was wearing a mini-skirt and heels, pinned the man to the floor and put her hands around his throat -- warning him to leave her alone.
The police then used the footage to trace the assailant.
The assailant was arrested two weeks later and is set to stand trial for attempted rape.
