World Food Program will provide financial and technical support the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in strengthening its capacity in disaster management, said a press release.



NDMA chairman Major-General Asghar Nawaz and WFP country representative Lola Castro signed the agreement on Wednesday to implement the three-tiered institutional setup.


The purpose of the project is to establish and refine existing process of disaster management, strengthening coordination, knowledge management as well as building capacities of personnel and communities through technical, financial assistance and training.
