Eight Iranian border security guards were killed in an ambush on Tuesday in Iran’s Negour region. Later, sectarian outfit Jaish al-Adl had claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to the website, Pakistani diplomat assured full cooperation in investigating the incident and said a probe into the incident has been launched by Pakistani agencies.
Meanwhile, Pakistan foreign office on Wednesday also strongly condemned the terrorists’ attack.
In its statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said concerned security agencies of Pakistan are actively investigating the incident.
The incident occurred ahead of Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif’s two-day visit to Pakistan, which is aimed to discuss the ongoing crisis in Yemen.
