LAHORE:

A Lahore High Court (LHC) full bench on Wednesday was informed about the possible health hazards of the Jail Road Signal-Free Corridor.

Petitioners’ counsel Saad Rasool said that project would cause serious harm to the environment. “The project was launched by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in gross violation of rules. The environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the project is just an eyewash,” he said.

LDA’s counsel Khawaja Harris will argue the case on Thursday (today).
