Gilani’s kidnapping: Suspect’s remand extended

The court allowed 10-day remand to complete interrogation

MULTAN: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday extended for 10 days the physical remand of a man suspected of kidnapping former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Haidar Gilani. Police produced Muhammad Bilal Lang, a resident of Jalalpur Pirwala and sought extension of his remand for 30 days.  The court allowed 10-day remand to complete interrogation. On March 13, police were given custody of Lang 12 days.  On March 24, the remand was extended for 15 days. It was then extended for another 10 days on Wednesday. Police said Lang was involved in 22 terrorism cases.
