The Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) will hold a protest against the Health Department on Thursday. YDA members from various hospitals will block major roads. Protest demonstrations will also be held in Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha and Gujrat. YDA information secretary Hussain said: “We want written assurances from the Health Department that it will implement the agreement.” Health Department PRO Akhlaq Ali Khan said that implementation of the demands would take time. “The government has taken several steps to implement the agreement. However, implementation is a procedural issue. Full implementation will take time,” he said.
