Higher education quality conference from today

Conference to be held in the Environmental Law Centre of the Punjab University.

LAHORE: A three-day international conference on assessing quality in higher education will be held in the Environmental Law Centre of the Punjab University (PU) on Monday (today).

This was announced by Dr Aamir Ijaz, director of the PU Institute of Quality and Technology Management on Sunday. He said that the theme of this conference would be “adopting models to improve educational standards at higher levels.”

Out of a total of 126 papers received by the institute, 22 papers have been approved by an expert technical committee to be presented at the conference, he said.

He said six distinguished educationists from Australia, the UK, the USA, India and Chile and 150 delegates from 23 Pakistani universities would also attend the conference. The conference papers have been edited by Prof Zahoor Ahmad of the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Prof Nasira Jabeen of PU, Prof Rukhsana Kaleem of the University of Managemt and Technology and Prof Talat Bodla of COMSATS, Lahore, he added.
