Rangers carry out operation to arrest suspected criminal undergoing treatment in govt-run hospital in Manghopir.

KARACHI:
Rangers conducted a siege and search operation in a government-run hospital in Karachi’s Manghopir area, Express News reported on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, the paramilitary force carried out the operation to arrest a suspected criminal who was allegedly undergoing medical treatment.

According to sources, Rangers searched several wards of the hospital including rooms that were locked.


A heavy contingent of Rangers personnel was deployed in the area and the site was cordoned off.

On March 11, Rangers raided Muttahida Qaumi Movement headquarters and arrested several party leaders and workers on information of convicts hiding inside the highly-guarded office.

The security personnel claimed to have seized a huge cache of weapons during the search at Nine-Zero.
