Mughal owned a double-storey house worth millions of rupees

The Assets Enquiry Unit (AEU) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has initiated a second assets probe against Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Planning Deputy Manager Muhammad Latif Mughal following a complaint by the Grid System Operation, a union of Lesco employees. AEU Additional Director Syed Fareed Ali confirmed the development. He said FIA investigators would summon Mughal to record his statement in this regard after adopting due process. The complaint, a copy of which is available with The Express Tribune, said Mughal owned a double-storey house worth millions of rupees in Tajpura Housing Scheme and a commercial plaza is Salli Town. It said his children were enrolled at premier educational institutions and he had three official vehicles at his disposal. The complaint further said he had scores of movable and immovable assets in his name and that of his relatives. Mughal claimed ignorance of any development on this account while speaking to The Express Tribune. He remained unreachable for comments later.
