Roof Collapse: Boy killed, mother injured
Neighbours began clearing the rubble and called Rescue 1122.

A boy was killed and his mother was injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Millat Town on Friday. The Millat Town SHO said Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Chak 202, was repairing a leak in the roof of his house when it caved in. He said Abbas’ wife Samina Bibi, 29, and his three-month-old son Abdul Masood were caught underneath the debris. Neighbours began clearing the rubble and called Rescue 1122. Rescue 1122 teams pulled out the woman and her child. They were taken to Allied hospital where the boy was declared dead on arrival. Doctors at the hospital said Bibi’s condition was serious. They said Abbas sustained minor injuries and was released soon after. Police sealed the area and began investigation.
