National Action Plan: Corps commander meeting under way in Lahore

LAHORE: An apex committee meeting headed by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveed Zaman discussing implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) and military courts is under way in Lahore, Express News reported Friday. 

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be briefed on the progress made since the implementation of the NAP.

Important decisions pertaining to the NAP are to be addressed and reports suggest that key announcements will also be made.

Among the decisions at today's meeting, sources say, further steps to tackle and eradicate terrorism will be touched upon, such as the beefing up of security and the several operations across the country.

Shahbaz Sharif himself will be monitoring the training and progress which has been made thus far after the implementation of the NAP.
