Four dead, one injured in Swabi and DI Khan

Four people died while one person was injured in separate incidents in Swabi and DI Khan.
The first incident took place near Parmoli police station in Swabi district on Wednesday night. According to a police report filed on Thursday by Khair Muhammad, a resident of Parmoli, he was travelling in a car with Akhtar Ali and Shahab, when their opponents allegedly opened fire at them. As a result, Ali and Shahab died on the spot while Muhammad was injured.
The alleged assailants have been identified as Zar Bahadur, Asad and Iqrar. The police report stated they had a family dispute with the complainant.
A case has been registered and police are searching for the culprits.
In a separate incident, four armed robbers gunned down a truck driver after he resisted a robbery near Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway in Jalsai area of Swabi on Wednesday night.
Sohail, the truck driver’s son, registered a complaint with the police, saying he and his father, Bacha Hussain, were transporting material to a construction site in Swabi when unidentified robbers stopped their vehicle at gunpoint.
According to Sohail, when his father tried to resist the robbery attempt, they gunned him down and managed to flee. They also looted Rs4,000 in cash and three mobile phones.
He added the alleged robbers left a pistol and cartridges behind. Police have registered a complaint and started investigation.
DI Khan
Unidentified assailants gunned down a member of a banned organisation near Sheikh Yusaf Zayarat in DI Khan on Thursday, said an official of Saddar police station.
According to the police official, 38-year-old Ghulam Shabir hailed from Din Pur village of DI Khan and was affiliated with a banned organisation. An FIR has been lodged and the matter is under investigation.
