Ghazi murder case: IHC issues non-bailable arrest warrant for Musharraf

Former president is booked for murder of Lal Masjid cleric and his mother during military operation in 2007

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued on Thursday a non-bailable arrest against former president Pervez Musharraf in the Ghazi Abdul Rashid case, Express News reported.

A case was registered in the IHC against the former president for the murder of the deceased cleric and his mother during the Lal Masjid operation on September 2, 2013.

A three-judge bench, headed by Justice Saqib Nisar, heard the case in the court today.

Bugti murder case

The medical board - formed to determine if Musharraf is facing health problems and cannot travel to attend the hearing of Bugti case - revealed that he is suffering from back pain as well as constriction of vessels supplying blood to his heart.

The former president had never appeared before the anti-terrorism court in Quetta court due to health issues.

Jm | 9 years ago | Reply reply to Mr.Allah Dad It's good to have law above everything but where was the law at the time of Ayub, Yahya, Zia. There judiciary sided with Gen. Musharraf and he is the one who gave liberty to media. He did many good thing one of them was to get terrorists out of Lal Masjid right inside Idlamabad terrorists were being harbored. And army personal lost lives from the hands of these terrorists.
