A media roundtable arranged here explored entertainment-education strategy for television dramas, said a press release on Wednesday.

The discussion was organised by Centre for Communication Programs Pakistan at a local hotel, under a Department for International Development-funded project “Empowerment, Voice and Accountability for Health and Nutrition”.  The roundtable was organised to explore opportunities for working hand-in-hand with television producers and channels for development and production of entertainment-education television dramas.

Under the project an innovative initiative was recently launched for scriptwriters and screenwriters in Pakistan production and broadcast of television dramas inspired by the entertainment-education strategy.

CCPP Executive Director Atif Ikram told the participants that CCPP was a premier institution in Pakistan that specialised in development communication.

Leading producers and scriptwriters, Hasina Moeen, Samina Ahmad, Sultana Siddiqui, Laila Zuberi, Bushra Ansari and others participated in the discussion.
