Line and lane: Rescue 1122 to observe road safety week
Channar emphasised the importance of effective coordination between the departments to make the initiative a success.

Rescue 1122 Divisional Emergency Officer Asif Rahim Channar said on Wednesday that the department would be observing a road safety week from today (Thursday).
He was speaking to personnel from the Motorway Police, Traffic Police and Highway Patrol at the department’s divisional headquarters. Channar emphasised the importance of effective coordination between the departments to make the initiative a success. He said information camps would be established at Farid Gate and Fawara Chowk. Channar said literature regarding road safety would be distributed among citizens at the spots. He said information regarding dengue control measures would also be proliferated among citizens under the auspices of the week. Channar said lectures would be organised in educational institutions and a walk would be held in this regard. He said an anti-dengue seminar would be organised in collaboration with public and private schools.
