Boom Boom says he was not aware of the original ad until he saw a video clip after India's semi-final defeat
Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi who failed to get Pakistan its ‘Mauka’ to win the World Cup this year, caught on the trend of singing the viral song on a private TV channel show.
The advertisement campaign that went viral during the World Cup season poked fun at Pakistani fans for not being able to celebrate a single win against India in international tournament. The campaign later lampooned other teams as well, including UAE and Bangladesh.

However, Boom Boom claimed he wasn’t aware of the campaign till after the end of the World Cup. During the TV show, Afridi clarified: "I got a clip from Saudi that showed the 'Mauka' ad after India lost."

Though Pakistan barely managed to enter the quarters, India had registered seven wins before losing to Australia in the semi-final. The friendly rivalry got a bit out of hand towards the end because of the ad, hearts were broken regardless on both sides of the border and India and Pakistan had to book early flights home.
