He was addressing the participants of five-day Lyallpur Art and Literature Festival at the UAF. Students from 26 universities are taking part in the festival.
Khan said the message of great sufi poets like Bulleh Shah, Waris Shah, Sultan Bahoo, Shah Hussain and Muhammad Bukhsh should be spread among the masses.
The festival featured qirat and naat competitions, folk songs, painting competition, treasure hunt, folk dance competition, bilingual declamation, Punjabi poetry recitation competition and quiz, drama, documentary and photography competitions.
Muhammad Zeeshan from Islamia University of Bahawalpur got the first position in the naat competition, Hassan from Sargodha University the second and Ghufran from the Punjab University the third. In the essay competition, Sadaf from GIFT University got the first position and Zara from Government College University Faisalabad the second position.
