A man filed a suit against a shopkeeper for selling him a defective mobile phone. Petitioner Muhammad Adnan is seeking damages worth Rs100,000 from Muhammad Shabbir, who sells mobile phones near Sanda.
He said that he had brought a second-hand phone set from Shabbir. “After a few days, it started malfunctioning. I complained to Shabbir. However, he refused to repair or replace it,” Adnan said.
He requested the court to direct the respondent to replace his mobile phone and pay him damages. Talking to The Express Tribune, Shabbir said he had asked Adnan to bring the mobile to his shop. “He did not show up. I am still willing to repair the mobile phone,” he said.
