Lynching Case: LHC hears bail pleas of six suspects
The SC had taken suo motu notice of the incident
LAHORE:
A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Friday asked for the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Kot Radha Kishan lynching case by April 1. The bench was hearing bail applications of six suspects accused of lynching and burning Sajjad Masih and his wife Shama Bibi. The SC had taken suo motu notice of the incident and had disposed of the matter with directions to the trial court to complete the proceedings speedily. Suspects Haris Bashir, Waqas Bashir, Arsalan Latif, Usman Latif, Muhammad Hanif and another had filed bail applications after an anti-terrorism court had turned down their bail request. Their counsel said that the police had implicated the six men on instigation of their opponents in the area.
